She told me $2 each, and I reiterated that that total was way too much. When the total came to $24 (this place is a hole in the wall, and each of our sandwiches was just $5 - one because it's that price every day, and one because it was the sandwich-of-the-day) I asked how much the sides were, because it seemed like too much. There were 2 of us, we each had a sandwich, a side, and a drink. A woman rang us up without benefit of a check. Our problem came when we wanted to leave.
Lemonade was some sort of Kool Aid or such - didn't care for it. Enjoyed the decorations (signs hung on the wall, customers testimonials written on the wall).
They're obviously people who enjoy what they do and want everyone to feel welcome.
